Abstract

For the development of Ukraine and its integration with the European Union and other international organizations, it needs deep political and administrative reforms. Political challenges are the main ones, because they create a foundation for solving other problems, accordingly, development in other areas will be significantly complicated or impossible. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the professional activity of a civil servant in the conditions of transformational changes. The research methodology is based on the fact that transformational changes in the civil service of Ukraine cover a wide range of issues that require civil servants to adapt, professional development, increase efficiency and require a comprehensive approach, research of various aspects. The object of the research is the professional activity of civil servants. The subject of the study is the influence of transformational changes on the specifics of the activities of civil servants. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the impact of transformational changes on the specifics of the activities of civil servants was analyzed. Conclusions. A theoretical model of the features of the civil servant’s activity has been developed, which includes working conditions, professional development, social interaction, and psychological flexibility. Working conditions are characterized by occupational safety and health, office environment, work schedule, social guarantees. The main areas of professional development include training and professional development, formal education, career growth, on-the-job training, adaptation to change, self-development and feedback evaluation. Social interaction is characterized by interaction with citizens, teamwork, communication with management, cooperation with other organizations, participation in public events, establishing contacts, observing ethical and cultural standards, and the ability to resolve conflicts. Adaptation to changes, stress management, emotional stability, communication flexibility, conflict management, and self-regulation skills are identified as important components of psychological flexibility. The influence of transformational changes on the peculiarities of the professional activity of a civil servant is theoretically analyzed.
