Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the impact of heuristic education and artificial intelligence on the process of learning foreign languages in higher education institutions. The research focuses on identifying effective methods for integrating AI into the learning process and assessing its influence on students’ language competence. The study employs methods of problem-based learning, Socratic dialogue, project-based activities, gamification, and interactive technologies. It includes an analysis of scientific literature, empirical research on the effectiveness of digital resources, and observations of educational processes in real learning environments. Scientific novelty. The study reveals that the combination of heuristic learning and artificial intelligence enhances students’ motivation and language competence. A new approach to integrating AI into the educational process is proposed, emphasizing personalized learning and adaptation of materials to students’ proficiency levels. The research explores the use of chatbots, voice assistants, and automated assessment systems as tools for developing language skills. Conclusions. Heuristic education and artificial intelligence significantly improve foreign language acquisition through an interactive approach and adaptive technologies. AI supports personalized learning, provides instant feedback, and increases the efficiency of the learning process. Despite the positive aspects of AI implementation, it is essential to maintain a balance between technological support and live communication while considering the ethical aspects of using automated systems in education. Future research may focus on improving machine learning algorithms to enhance linguistic adaptation and foster students’ creative thinking.
