Abstract

The purpose of the article: to analyze the features of the impact of chronic war distress on the formation of human health. Actualization and analysis of the features of providing psychological assistance in Ukraine in conditions of full-scale war and ways of its transformation into a holistic, accessible and flexible mental health system that is able to effectively respond to the challenges of martial law and ensure long-term restoration of society. Methodology. The article used a number of theoretical methods: Analysis and synthesis: dismemberment of an object into its component parts for separate study and subsequent unification into a single whole. Induction and deduction: logical movement of thought from individual facts to general conclusions (induction) or from general provisions to partial ones (deduction). Abstraction: isolation of the main, essential features of an object while simultaneously rejecting secondary ones. Modeling: creation of an artificial analogue (model) of an object to study its properties. Generalization: transition from the individual to the general, formation of laws and patterns. All methods were aimed at developing a new model of providing psychological assistance in the conditions of a full-scale war in Ukraine. Scientific novelty. Research on this topic is critically important today due to the unprecedented scale of the humanitarian crisis, the need to prevent the chronicity of trauma, the need for specific integration of veterans and support for military families. In addition, previous world practice has no experience in overcoming trauma of this scale in real time. Conclusions. It is shown that chronic stress and psychological trauma in most cases cause Ukrainians to seek specialized medical care. The article substantiates the role of psychosocial support for the population as a critical element of the state's national security system in conditions of prolonged martial law. The key challenges of today that affect the availability of psychosocial services in conditions of a prolonged crisis are analyzed. The structure of the three-level system of psychological assistance and the main services provided at each level are considered. The key principles and features of this system are analyzed. The system of psychosocial support operating at the macro level (state), meso level (society), micro level (individual) and the tasks of each level are considered. Ways of integrating psychosocial interventions into state security policy are outlined.
