The purpose of the article is to carry out a comparative analysis of modern software used for mathematical and statistical processing of experimental data obtained during psychological and pedagogical research, to determine their advantages, disadvantages and features of application. The research methodology is based on a combination of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization and generalization), interdisciplinary and competency-based approaches using theoretical methods of analyzing scientific sources, comparative characteristics of modern software and generalization of practical experience of its application in psychological and pedagogical research. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive comparative analysis of modern software tools for mathematical and statistical processing of empirical data (SPSS Statistics, STATISTICA, R, Python, JASP, Jamovi), determining the features of their use in psychological and pedagogical research, as well as substantiating the criteria for choosing a particular software product depending on the sample size and complexity of statistical analysis. Conclusions. It is proven that the use of modern software tools for mathematical and statistical analysis is a necessary condition for ensuring the objectivity and reliability of the results of psychological and pedagogical research. It is found that the most optimal choice for most humanitarian research is the software products SPSS, JASP and Jamovi, which combine wide functionality with ease of use, while the software environments R and Python are the most appropriate for processing large data sets, building complex statistical models and interdisciplinary research. It is substantiated that the involvement of modern software tools for mathematical and statistical data processing in the psychological and pedagogical research of Ukrainian scientists will contribute to their integration into the global scientific space.
