EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY IN THE PEDAGOGICAL WORLDVIEW OF IVAN OHIENKO

Abstract

The article provides a thorough analysis of the educational and philosophical foundations of the pedagogical concept of Ivan Ohienko as an outstanding Ukrainian scientist, teacher, statesman and cultural educator. The thinker's key ideas regarding the role of education in the formation of national consciousness, spirituality and cultural identity of the individual are considered. Special attention is paid to the humanistic orientation of his pedagogical views, in which education appears not only as a process of transferring knowledge, but also as an important factor in moral education, spiritual growth and the formation of a harmonious personality. The purpose of the study is to carry out a thorough analysis of the educational and philosophical foundations of Ivan Ohiienko’s pedagogical concept, as well as to determine its role in the formation of national consciousness, spirituality, and cultural identity of the individual. The methodology of the work is based on a systemic and historicalpedagogical analysis of the thinker's works and views, taking into account the combination of national traditions, Christian values, and universal humanistic principles in the organization of the educational process. The scientific novelty lies in the formation of a holistic understanding of Ivan Ohiienko’s concept, where education appears as a factor of spiritual growth, the key role of the native language is highlighted as the foundation of learning, and the teacher's mission is reimagined as the activity of a spiritual authority and mentor. The conclusions emphasize that Ivan Ohiienko’s philosophy of education is highly relevant for contemporary Ukrainian pedagogical science and practice, as his ideas regarding the unity of intellectual development, patriotism, and moral upbringing serve as an effective basis for improving the national educational system in the face of globalization challenges
