DIDACTIC PRINCIPLES FOR ORGANIZING THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide a theoretical justification for the didactic principles underlying the organization of the educational process in vocational education institutions, to identify their main components, and to examine the specifics of their implementation in the current context of vocational education development. The research methodology is based on the use of systemic, competency-based, activity-based, and person-centered approaches. The research employed theoretical methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, and systematization of scientific literature and regulatory documents governing the functioning of the vocational education system, as well as empirical methods such as questionnaires and quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained results. The experimental study was conducted during 2025–2026 among 45 teaching staff members at vocational education institutions in the city of Ivano Frankivsk. The scientific novelty of this article lies in a comprehensive justification of the modern didactic principles for organizing the educational process in vocational education institutions, based on an analysis of scientific works, the current regulatory framework, and the results of an experimental study. The author’s interpretation of the concept of «didactic principles for organizing the educational process» has been refined as a scientifically grounded system of interrelated principles, content, methods, forms, means, and pedagogical conditions that ensure the effective design and implementation of vocational training. The main contemporary didactic principles for organizing the educational process have been identified, including the competency-based approach, student-centeredness, practical orientation, digitalization, the integration of theoretical and practical training, and formative assessment. The conclusions emphasize that the implementation of these didactic principles contributes to improving the quality of the educational process, developing the professional competence of students, fostering the professional development of teaching staff, and preparing competitive specialists in accordance with the current demands of the labor market
