CONCEPT OF DEVELOPING MANAGERIAL COMPETENCE IN FUTURE FORESTRY PROFESSIONALS: THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SUBSTANTIATION

Abstract

The aim of the article is to provide a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the concept of developing managerial competence in future forestry specialists and to define the role of environmental, managerial, professional, and value-worldview components within the system of their professional training. The research methodology is based on a combination of education for sustainable development and modern management theories, as well as systemic, competence-based, axiological, synergetic, person-oriented, and noospheric approaches, integrated with the provisions of international, European, and national documents that define strategic directions for sustainable development and the professional training of future specialists in the context of global environmental challenges. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of a concept for fostering managerial competence among future forestry professionals; this concept entails linking environmental imperatives with the content of professional training and integrating environmental, managerial, professional, and value-based worldview components into a holistic system of professional education. Conclusions. It has been determined that the development of managerial competence in future forestry professionals should be based on a combination of professional, managerial, environmental, and value-based worldview training, oriented towards the modern challenges of sustainable development. It is substantiated that the implementation of the proposed provisions ensures the integrity of professional training and facilitates the alignment of its content with the needs of the forestry sector and contemporary international and national guidelines for the development of education for sustainable development.
