COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PROFILES OF THE HEADS OF STRUCTURAL DIVISIONS OF THE SECURITYAND DEFENSE SECTOR BODIES OF UKRAINE

The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the profiles of structural units chiefs built by male and female servicemen and women and to interpret the results. The methodology of the study is based on the provisions on the structure of the personality and its professional formation, the concept of continuous and holistic professional training, the implementation of a systematic approach as a heuristically powerful means of cognition of psychological and pedagogical processes, theoretical, practical and methodological aspects of realizing equal rights and opportunities for men and women, the principles of mathematical statistics methods (correlation analysis) correct usage. The scientific novelty is that, based on the analysis of scientific literature, the study of the professional activity peculiarities of security and defence sector officers, the results of empirical research and the correct use of mathematical statistics methods, a comparative analysis of the profiles of the officer-chief, built on the results of a survey of male and female servicemen, was carried out, and the results were interpreted. Conclusions. The results of applying the methods of mathematical statistics have revealed the existence of quite close correlations between the hierarchies of personal characteristics built on the basis of a survey of male and female servicemen group. This means that at the appropriate level of statistical significance, the profiles of female and male leaders coincide. Based on the results obtained, it is an indisputable fact that women servicewomen have the right to hold equivalent positions of law enforcement and security agencies chiefs of Ukraine, which are usually held by men. This means that when appointing an officer to the position of a leader, one should take into account not the gender of the applicant, but his or her personal characteristics. This approach will allow to realize the principle of equal rights and opportunities for men and women in professional activities.
