COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CULTURE OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AT I, II AND III LEVELS OF EDUCATION

Abstract

The article highlights modern methods of formation and development of a culture of academic integrity at I, II and III levels of education in Ukrainian higher education institutions. The purpose is to characterize the ways of formation and development of academic integrity at the I, II and III levels of education. Methodology. The research is based on general scientific methods of induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, abstraction and concretization, involves the complex application of such methods of analysis as theoretical, descriptive, processing and interpretation. As auxiliary research methods, the article used techniques of observation, classification and systematization. Scientific novelty. The article provides an analysis of various manifestations of violations of scientific ethics, the causes of their occurrence, means and methods of counteraction, presents the ways of forming academic integrity at the I, II and III levels of education; the culture of academic integrity is characterized; the ways of fighting against manifestations of dishonesty and the formation of academic integrity in scientific research and publishing activities in the works of graduate students have been investigated. Conclusions. The formation of academic integrity takes place through the organization of various activities aimed at forming the rejection of corruption phenomena: meetings, flash mobs, motivational evenings; by inculcating zero tolerance for corruption in curatorial hours: clarifying the main provisions of academic honesty, conducting anonymous online surveys about the practice of unofficial rewards, holding meetings, round tables, lectures with the participation of specialists from the anti-corruption department at the 1st level of education. The formation of academic integrity takes place through the verification of scientific works according to plagiarism detection systems, through the approval of the Code of Honor (Code of Ethics, Code of Academic Integrity); familiarization with Orders and orders of the following content: on the procedure for checking attestation works for plagiarism; provisions on combating academic plagiarism; provisions on attestation work of applicants, etc. at the II level of education. The formation of academic integrity takes place in courses on improving the quality of writing scientific papers at the III level of education.
