READINESS OF FUTURE BACHELORS IN IT TO IMPLEMENT CLOUD SERVICES IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the readiness of Ukrainian bachelors in IT to study using cloud technologies from different perspectives: personal, technical, social, security, equipment and infrastructure. The developed evaluation criteria describe the students' readiness to implement cloud services in the educational process from the most important perspectives and allow for a comprehensive characterisation. The research methodology consisted of a survey of 69 future bachelors in IT. The questionnaire consisted of questions that allowed us to describe students' readiness to use cloud services in the learning process based on personal, technical, security, and social criteria, as well as the availability of technical equipment and the necessary infrastructure. The collected data were analysed quantitatively using statistical methods. Scientific novelty. This study highlights the factors that facilitate and hinder the use of cloud services in the learning process in Ukrainian higher education institutions. The scientific novelty. In the course of analysing the results of the student survey, the main factors that can negatively affect the process of introducing cloud services in the professional training of future bachelors in information technology were highlighted. This study has provided information that should be used in the formation of curricula, namely: students' attitudes towards different types of cloud services, ways to improve the educational process, self-assessment of their knowledge and skills in the use of cloud services. Conclusions. The study found that the level of readiness of IT bachelors to use cloud services in the learning process is quite high in almost all criteria - personal, technical and technical support, but the social and security aspects of the issue are at a slightly lower level. For each of the aspects considered, based on the analysis of the study results, recommendations were made to improve students' readiness for online learning.
