HELP TO PARENTS WHO HAVE CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze and summarize possible ways of helping parents who have children with special educational needs. The research methodology is based on the provisions on the personality structure and is based on the theoretical principles, psychological state and parents’ reactions to the difficulties that arise in the process of socialization of a child with the peculiarities of psychophysical development. Conclusions. Parents’ attitudes toward their children with ASD can vary depending on many factors, but in any case, they try to do everything they can to help them develop and reach their potential. Parents of children with special needs (SEN) traditionally face significant difficulties and problems in the process of raising their children, which include financial, social, access to proper education, need for support, feeling of isolation, stress and others. Therefore, it is important that parents provide themselves with sufficient rest and time for themselves in order to maintain balance and emotional stability. Assistance can be provided in various forms and include psychological, physical and financial support and others. Parents can turn to various public organizations, where they can get qualified help and take care not only with the help of specialists, but also independently, at any convenient time, in their own comfortable mode. Therefore, helping parents who have children with ASD is very important, as it will help reduce the burden on parents and provide children with ASD better conditions for life and development.
