Abstract

Purpose of the article: the article is devoted to the theoretical exploration of the basic principles and methodology of supervision, ways to understand and describe the supervision process, taking into account the needs and requests of supervisees, in the context of the philosophy of the Adlerian approach. Methodology. Includes analysis and synthesis of theoretical information. Based on a systemic understanding, Adlerian techniques were selected for effective application in an integrative supervision approach. Scientific novelty. The article analyzes the features of supervisory support in the context of the interaction between the supervisor and the supervisee. Key approaches and techniques for understanding supervisory problems are considered, with the main attention paid to the inclusion of the philosophy of A. Adler’s approach and key concepts of the direction of individual psychology in the integrative model of supervision. Conclusions. The supervisory relationship encompasses various roles of contact and determines the deep unconscious experiences of supervisees. Often, deep narcissistic experiences are projected onto the supervisor, basic traumatic experiences of contact, and uncomfortable experiences regarding the evaluation of the consultative or psychotherapeutic process appear. Since the task of the supervisor is to help the psychologist/psychotherapist activate intellectual and emotional resources in working with the client/patients, the main goal of supervision is professional development through monitoring and improving the quality of psychological care. Thus, the main goal of supervision is professional development through monitoring and improving the quality of psychological care. The focus of Adlerian psychology is on concepts that are undoubtedly extremely important in supervision, especially for novice psychologists. In particular, at the stage of forming the identity of a psychologist or psychotherapist, as a component of professional affiliation, consistency and maintenance of a positive professional self-concept, as a prevention of professional burnout and loss of motivation to conduct psychological practice.
