Abstract

Purpose. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state of reproductive health in Ukraine under martial law and to identify the key factors influencing the demographic situation. Methodology. The methodological framework combines general psychological principles of the unity of psyche and activity, development, and systemic approach with specific thematic approaches to the study of the impact of socio-economic, medical, ecological, and psychological factors on reproductive health. Methods include literature review, analysis of statistical data from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, UNICEF, UNFPA, and WHO, as well as clinical observations and survey results.Scientific novelty. For the first time, a systematic overview of the effects of war on reproductive health has been carried out, emphasizing psycho-emotional factors such as chronic stress, PTSD, depressive disorders, and their impact on hormonal balance and pregnancy outcomes. The article summarizes recent clinical research on the course of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) during wartime and proposes integrated support strategies for women, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and group psychological interventions.Conclusions. It is established that the war has caused a significant deterioration in demographic indicators, an increase in infertility rates, higher child mortality, and a decline in birth rates. The psychological state of women is an important predictor of reproductive success, and chronic stress combined with limited access to medical services reduces the chances of successful conception and delivery. The study highlights the need for interagency cooperation, state and international programs aimed at stabilizing the demographic situation, protecting reproductive rights, and preserving the nation’s genepool.
